Improve Your Kitchen to Help Sell Your Home

My husband and I recently put our home onto the market, because we were expecting a baby and need to upgrade to something larger. When offers rolled in that were really low, we decided to ask our realtor why people thought the house was worth so much less than it was. He was honest and told us that he had heard our kitchen was a bit of an eyesore. He was right, but I had actually put off renovations because I knew we were looking to sell the home soon. We took the gamble and renovated our kitchen. It paid off! We received an offer that was near our asking price, and it made the kitchen renovations well worth it! I created this blog to help others struggling to sell their homes realize that a few small improvements can help you finally sell your home!

3 Fun Ways To Change The Appearance Of Your Swimming Pool This Summer

If you are tired of the way that your pool looks, and you want to change things up, there are lots of fun ways that you can change and upgrade the overall appearance of your pool.  You can change out the lights, put in a new patio around your pool, or add a water feature that flows into your pool. Here are some ideas for your custom pool design.

Change Out the Lights

A fun way to change the feeling of your pool is to change out the lights in and around your pool. You can change out the lights that are in your pool with LED lights. LED lights are perfect for a pool because you can install set-ups that project many different colors of light, and LED light bulbs last numerous hours more than other types of light bulbs. It can be really fun to change all the lights in your pool to purple, neon pink, or bright green to fit your mood. LED lights allow you to constantly change the color and feel of your pool.

You can also change the lights around the outside of your pool. You can add spotlights that will highlight different areas of your pool or different landscaping features around your pool. Adding additional outside lights around your pool can change your pool area into a place where you can hang out not just during the day, but at night as well.

Change the Patio

It can be expensive to change the material inside of your pool, but it is not that expensive to change the material on the outside of your pool. You can change up the look of your patio to add more interest to your pool.

For example, you can install a stone edge around your pool to give it more definition. Or you can get rid of your basic concrete patio and stain or stamp your concrete to give it more personality or depth. Or you could put pavers or stones around your entire pool.

Changing the look of the patio around your pool will change the focus and look of your pool.

Add a Water Feature

Finally, if you want to change the actual shape and look of your pool, consider adding a water feature. A giant waterfall that cascades into the side of your pool will greatly change the visual focus of your pool. It will draw attention to the waterfall instead of to the rest of your pool.

You can also add a more functional water feature, such as some fun water slides for your kids as well.

If you are tired of how your pool looks, there are lots of fun ways that you can change the appearance of your pool. Installing new LED lights inside of your pool and adding new spotlights outside of your pool will turn your pool area into an evening hangout spot. Changing the material that patio around your pool and adding a pretty or functional water feature are two more ways you can change the way your pool space looks and feels. Sometimes, a change is all you need to reinvigorate your interest in a space.
