Improve Your Kitchen to Help Sell Your Home

My husband and I recently put our home onto the market, because we were expecting a baby and need to upgrade to something larger. When offers rolled in that were really low, we decided to ask our realtor why people thought the house was worth so much less than it was. He was honest and told us that he had heard our kitchen was a bit of an eyesore. He was right, but I had actually put off renovations because I knew we were looking to sell the home soon. We took the gamble and renovated our kitchen. It paid off! We received an offer that was near our asking price, and it made the kitchen renovations well worth it! I created this blog to help others struggling to sell their homes realize that a few small improvements can help you finally sell your home!

4 Common Water Heater Problems And The Fixes To Get Hot Water Flowing In Your Home Again

If you are having trouble with your water heater and there is no hot water flowing in your home, you want to get to the root of the problem quickly. The issues with the water heater are likely common problems that you can easily solve yourself or have a repair service fix for you quickly. The following problems are some of the most common issues with water heaters and how you need to deal with them to get the water flowing in your home again:

1. Dirty Water Coming From Plumbing Fixtures Only When Using Hot Water

The water coming from the plumbing fixtures in your home may be discolored or have a bad odor. This is often due to sediment in the water heater tank if it only happens when you turn the hot water on. To solve this problem, have your water heater serviced annually and flush the tank to remove any contamination that causes these water heater problems.

2. The Problems Causing Your Hot Water to Runout Quickly and Solving These Issues

Another problem that you may have with your water heater is the hot water running out too quickly. This can be due to problems with the size of your water heater, the thermostat going bad, or leaks. First, make sure the water heater is the right size for the needs of your home. Then check the thermostat to ensure it has been set to the correct temperature and working correctly.

3. Power and Pilot Light Problems That Cause You to Not Have Hot Water in Your Home

If you have an electric water heater, problems with the power can cause issues with the appliance not turning back on after an outage. Therefore, you will want to check the breakers and power to the water heater after an outage if there is no hot water. With gas water heaters, the problem with the appliance could be the pilot light going out and needing to be lit again.

4. Leaking Water Heaters That Cause Problems With Hot Water and Water Damage

Leaking water heaters can be the source of a lot of the problems with hot water, as well as cause water damage. If your water heater is leaking, this is often due to corrosion and bad plumbing connections that need to be replaced. If the tank is damaged or corroded, you may need a water heater replacement to solve the problem.

These are some of the most common problems with water heaters and what needs to be done to fix them. If you need help with solving your hot water problems, you can contact a water heater repair service in your area.
